Making progress!

I finished the skeleton, only a few days after Halloween!
I finished the moccasins, that were only needing the top stitched on.
I'm halfway through another afghan, I've finished one Christmas ornament, need to stitch pieces together on six more, and am halfway done with another 33, and I bought the yarn for two more pairs of slippers. But, I think the best thing so far was finding the Halloween costume that I made for my son three years ago!

It still fits him, although the bib part could use a few more rows. He is five feet tall, now! Not sure how it ended up with holiday stuff. The last time I remember seeing it was after he changed out of it after a costume contest at a store. He had put it back in the bag that we had carried it in. It was still in the bag, but the gloves and mustache weren't with it. I didn't have any pictures of it, and hubby had left the pics he took on his old phone. I've been trying to get pictures of everything I make now, as I've given away so many things that I don't have pictures of.

Crazy bones!

I bought Crafty Deb's skeleton pattern a week before Halloween. It isn't a hard pattern, but try as I might, I just haven't been able to finish it. I knew I wouldn't get much crochet time when I was babysitting the 17-month-old granddaughter, so I saved the pattern on my iPad. Since my iPad was frequently in use by this granddaughter, I also saved the pattern on my iPhone. I was able to get a round or two done every now and then, but then my iPhone refused to show me the pattern.

I managed to finish as far as the leg bones, but then a cat found the yarn. I don't know why only this cat attacks the yarn, nor do I know why he only attacks this yarn. I had a couple of skeins of yarn sitting on the bed, along with the skeleton pieces. He attacked the pieces, so I bagged them up. Simple, right? No! He tried attacking them through the bag. When I moved the bag, he went after the remaining yarn, but only the small skein of white that I had been using for the skeleton. It wasn't moving, so I'm not sure why he was attracted to it. All of the yarn on the bed was the same brand, and the same weight, but different colors. Maybe I should start another skeleton, but in a different color. Or, maybe I can finish this one by next Halloween!

Still here!

I'm still crocheting, just not going online much. While digging through my yarn stash, I found several bags with unfinished projects. One was the target hat. I frogged it, then remade it. I also found the eyes to my Potato head hat, but haven't found the hat. I also need to find the notebook where I was writing the pattern (I have dozens of project notebooks, all in my craft room.), or I will have to frog the eyes, and redo them, too. I usually keep the hook with the project, so don't know why these were bagged separate.
My craft room seems to have turned into a catch-all closet. I've been working on it whenever I have a few minutes, but it needs lots more work. It is the guest room also, and one daughter might be moving back at the beginning of the year, so I need to get it finished before then. My husband bought me a 10' countertop, which will take up one wall. I have a wooden shelf that used to hold bolts of fabric. It is about 5' tall, 4' long, and 2' wide, but it is two-sided, and each side is about 1' deep. One side currently has yarn, and the other side has some of my kids' stuff. I will no longer have room for it, or the 6 1/2' credenza, but will finally have working space.
One of my current projects is an afghan, made from Red Heart Super Saver in Black, and Day Glow. I will need to get more of the Day Glow and Black Light color-ways, because my kids really like them.
Another current project is a pair of adult-size Crocodile Boots from Bonita Patterns, from Vanna's Choice in Raspberry. Someone has requested several pairs, so I bought the pattern and started on a set, so I would know how long it takes. My daughters won't be able to claim these, as I am making them in my size. That is, when I get time. I have the pattern on my iPad, but my granddaughter has games on there, so I work on the afghan when she has the iPad.

I received my yarn prize from Crochet Dynamite: two balls of cotton yarn, and two skeins of acrylic yarn. I will have to find that brand of acrylic yarn, as I love the colors!

I am not able to crochet right now, due to arthritis, and the weather. All of my fingers are swollen, and both wrists and shoulders hurt. My knees are also swollen, and both hips and knees hurt, so even working on my craft room is hard. The only crocheting I have done all week, was to add one round on a hat. On Tuesday.

I finished the Chocolate Easter Bunny, even though the cats kept trying to help. It turned out cute, and now I have to make more!

Found out I won some yarn from Crochet Dynamite! Now I just have to wait patiently for it to arrive, so I can try out her Argyle Crochet.

I finally get a chance to post again! I made a baby blanket from a pretty granny square pattern, by just repeating the design. I designed a batman hat, and aTMNT hat. I've made three variations of the Beatrice Wrap (red original design, rainbow without edging, long slim rainbow without edging). I made the seashell scarf with a rainbow yarn with sequins. I've also made tons of baby hats. I'm currently making a chocolate Easter bunny. I'm hoping to get back to working on my own designs soon.
